Dulles Day 5k on the Runway

This was my second time running the Dulles Day 5k on the Runway. I absolutely love this race! It takes place in September at Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia. The course (the runway) is completely flat and FAST. You get to see the airport grounds and run past planes!29704876126_c2c27d2d44_oParking for the race is at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum in the Udvar-Hazy Center parking lot. Normally it costs $15 to park, but it’s free the morning of the race. You get to walk through the museum on the way to the start line.IMG_0335There is one water station around the halfway point, but I never stop since I always make it my goal to PR each year. This year, I finished in 11th place with a time of 25:00!
